New Volkswagen Lavida XR based on the Polo

The new Volkswagen Lavida XR is built on the platform of the Polo model. The inexpensive sedan is richly equipped and has a 110-horsepower petrol engine.

The new Volkswagen Lavida XR was presented in China. The budget B-class sedan will go on sale in the summer at a price of about $15,000. This is reported on the official Volkswagen website.

The Lavida XR is an improved version of the new generation Volkswagen Polo Sedan. In some countries, the car is known as the Virtus, and it also has a sibling, the Skoda Slavia. The new sedan will not replace the larger VW Lavida, but will be produced in parallel with it.

The new Volkswagen Lavida XR differs from its siblings in the design of the radiator grille and front air intake. It also has LED headlights as standard.

The top-of-the-line interior features a virtual instrument cluster and a 10-inch touchscreen, and equipment includes keyless entry, a sunroof, cruise control, a rearview camera, a light sensor, and automatic braking. The Volkswagen Polo sedan has a spacious 498-litre boot.

The new Volkswagen Lavida XR debuted with a 1.5-litre 110 hp petrol engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
