Volkswagen Caddy will become an economical hybrid

The Volkswagen Caddy plug-in hybrid will have a powerful 204-horsepower unit and will be able to travel more than 50 km on electric power. The model will be offered in passenger and cargo versions.

The new Volkswagen Caddy in an unusual design was tested. The popular minivan will receive a hybrid version. This is reported by the Carscoops website.

The Volkswagen Caddy eHybrid (as the model is called) will get a powerplant familiar from the Golf and Passat. It consists of a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo-four and an electric motor with a total output of 204 hp. The minivan will not only become more economical, but will also be able to travel at least 50 km on electric power.

Visually, the Volkswagen Caddy hybrid is no different from the gasoline and diesel versions of the model. The photo shows the passenger version of the model, but the cargo van should also receive an electrified version.

The VW Caddy plug-in hybrid will be offered in two lengths. The main innovation in the cabin is a large 15-inch touchscreen with an improved multimedia system.

The presentation of the Volkswagen Caddy eHybrid is scheduled for 2024. The plug-in hybrid will undoubtedly be the most expensive version of the model.
